The Ladder School’s brand new building is going to be built on the site of a former Walsall leather factory, Shannon’s Mill, which was destroyed in a fire in 2007.

Interserve has been appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to build a replacement school, for The Ladder School, currently situated at Millennium House.

It is anticipated that The Ladder School build project will commence on site at the start of 2021 and completing within a twelve-month programme.

As well as a new building, there will be a multi-use games area and outdoor space for the students to use, providing a purpose built home for The Ladder School family.

The Ladder School provides high quality teaching at Millennium House, with a tailored programme of GCSE subjects and practical vocational courses, followed by an innovative post-16 offer, enhanced with significant employer involvement. The new build and facilities will enrich the day to day experience of students attending the school.
